If you would like a second opinion, the most useful thing you can do is send me the information your current team has used to reach their advice. I review it before we meet, so that our consultation can focus on what can be achieved.

What to send

  • Scan reports, and the images themselves if possible. Many hospitals can provide images on a disc or through a secure download link; ask the hospital’s imaging department.
  • Operation notes from any previous surgery, and any photographs taken during it.
  • Letters from your current specialist explaining the advice you have been given, and from your GP.
  • Recent blood results, if relevant.

How to send it

Contact Helen Wood, my private secretary, by telephone on 07757 310098 or at pa@migynaecology.com. She will send you a secure link to upload your reports, letters and images, so that you do not need to send medical documents by ordinary email. If you have images on a disc, or a download link from another hospital, tell Helen and she will explain how to share them, or bring the disc to your appointment.

Please do not put detailed medical information into the enquiry form on this website. The form is only for contact details and a brief message.

How your information is looked after

Your information is used only to prepare for and carry out your consultation, and it is kept securely as part of your medical record. You can read more in the privacy notice.

After your consultation

You will receive a detailed letter, usually emailed within 30 minutes of your appointment, setting out what I found and recommended. You are welcome to share it with your current team, and with your permission I will send them a copy directly.
